Can not delete an artifact type!!

I can not delete an artifact type. When I try to delete, there is a popup says : 

"You cannot delete this artifact type because it is assigned to an existing artifact or artifact template."

But, in that project area has no artifact, no view, no modul, no artifact template. Then why I can not delete with my ADMIN user?

 I think I understand. Each review holds a version of the artifacts. Most probably that's why. We have more than 300+ reviews.  But users (even admins) can not see reviews anywhere except dashboard. Even you can see reviews in a dashboard, you can not delete from there by multi-select, you have to open review, then delete. 

So, thank you DOORS for forcing me to create a new project area! :)

 I don't think that's the root cause. I'm experiencing the same and I have no reviews in my PA.

The obvious reason is what the error message states. The fact that you can't see artifacts does not mean there are "no" artifacts. See Stef's comment about "logical deletion" in RRC/RDNG at the bottom of the below post.
