Uninitialized New Work Item Tab

I recently added a new tab to a work item creating various constructions, such as check boxes and radio buttons.
When I create a new work item, the new tab displays fine. With existing tabs, there is nothing displayed in the tab.

Can anyone tell me how I can re-initialize the existing work items to properly display the new tab?
