LDAP sync - automatic license assignment?

Benjamin Chodroff (8985231) | asked Jun 19 '09, 3:12 p.m.
Is it possible to have the nightly LDAP sync assign a license type based on a LDAP group the user belongs to?

For example:
I want all users in the LDAP that belong to the LDAP group "Development" to get assigned a floating developer license in RTC by default where everyone in "Manager" group gets a contributor license.

In 2.0.0.1 we added a feature to assign default licenses to users imported via LDAP nightly sync. But the default license assignment is not based on LDAP groups. You can set a default licence id using https://{server-name}:9443/jazz/admin#action=com.ibm.team.repository.admin.manageLicenses. This default license id will be set on all the users created via LDAP nightly sync task.

Hi,

Our customer is using RTC Standart with floating licenses.
They have 30 developer and 5 contributer licences.
We have also configured LDAP but did not assigned default license id.

We have connected to the license server, added the all licenses.

In License Key management:

We can see the added licenses in Floating License Server part but we can not see the "Floating Developer" type in the list of Client Access License Type part.

And also we can not see the Floating Developer choice in the active user page to check it as a Floating Developer.

What can be the problem?

Thanks.
Halil

Hi all,
I think that it is already available: https://jazz.net/forum/questions/139094/bulk-change-of-user-licenses?page=1&focusedAnswerId=139112
