Will the values for custom work items of type deliverable become available in the plan view?

When we add the field PlannedRelease (which has type Deliverable, and tied to the Release field) to the column display of a plan, we get an error.  I see that in 4.0.6 it should display 'n/a' - but, not sure what value that is?

Is there any plan to display the actual value in the column in a plan?

which kind of error?

If I got your question (I think no, but I will try), you are able to display fields of type Deliverable in any plan.
