Pessimistic Locking in Rhapsody

Chandan M B (1132863) | asked Mar 11 '15, 5:49 a.m.
Hello Team,
RTC 5 has introduced a pessimistic locking feature which is working well.
I have a doubt whether its available for Rhapsody as well.
If yes, please let me know how it actually works.

Thanks

As Rhapsody has specific file extensions for the models and elements, as far as I know, you can use the pessimistic locking with it, for all I can say.

RTC loads pessimistic lockable files with read only flag.

·         The lock is released in RTC by delivering the changes (which also re-sets the read-only flag). This must be detected by Rhapsody and the unit is changed to read only again.

I guess it wont work like above.
Also, it wont provide any alert message if model is already locked by other user.

Please let me know if it works like above.
