What is the best way to do a file search in RTC

Sean Burke (3789144247) | asked Feb 05 '15, 1:58 p.m.
If a business user wants to search for documents stored in an RTC project is there a way to search by file name to find the exact location for the file.  They don't need content inside the file only the file location.  It looks like it cannot be done in the webclient but I am also not seeing how to do this in the eclipse client.

I don't think the feature is available currently.
While you can search a file inside a changeset by locating changeset first and then navigate to the target file, a simple search by file name is a desired feature by many users in the RFEs:

You can find the discussions in the above RFEs on what are currently available and what are many users want to have
and comment there as well.

Note that you can sometimes make the changeset search more usable if you multiselect the resulting change sets, and select "Open With -> Change Summary".
