Can We Restrict Work Item Tab to Few Users-RTC

Team,

I know that by using access groups one can restrict work items, But i have a requirement where i need to restrict tabs to few users.

Like i have three different tabs and i want only one tab to be visible to contractors and other two to full time employees.

Can we do?

The answer is no as in the link.

There is currently no way to hide tabs or attributes based on users or roles. It would do you no good anyway, even if you could hide a presentation, because the presentation does not restrict visibility in work item queries. So even if you could hide a presentation the data would still show in queries, plans and the like.

This is also not easy to implement and has potential performance impacts.

I have followed discussions where a suggestion was to put the data that only specific users are supposed to see into work items that are linked to the original item but protected by restricted access or access groups.
