How does SCM tools preserve connection between 2 commands ?

Hello,

I'm wondering which mechanism SCMTools uses between the login command and
any subsequent command. The credentials (user/pwd, URI) are given only
during the login command that defines an alias. But then the program stops
and we re-start it again to do another operation using the alias. How does
SCM.exe manage to reconnect to the server? Has it kept something somewhere?
Is there some resident program that stays alive?

Many thanks,

In RTC 1.x the credentials are stored in ~/.jazz-scm/repositories.

In 2.0 they are obfuscated and stored in ~/.jazz-scm/repositories.txt.
