Chat history in RTC

T M (8876187143) | asked May 12 '09, 9:13 a.m.
It is not a good idea to make RTC to store chat history in its database? Is there any workaround for this requirement?

Thanks

Hello theju,

I think discussions are meant for persistent information. You could consider
to paste your chat there and tidy it up a bit in case it is of value.
I personally thought the feature you requested would be valuable but changed
my mind. I think chat is volatile instantanous communication and should stay
that way.

If you right button on the chat text, there is the option to "Comment Work Item" and this allows you to add the chat into a comment on a work item.

Does that help?
