Ask a question

Approval rights for delivering the changeset has to be set at component level rather than Project Area/ Team Area level.

We are using RTC 4.0.6.
We use to set Code and Test approval for delivering the changesets, but these rights are set at the Project Area/Team Area level. We donot want to restrict it at the module level (stream/component level).

Do we have any precondition setup already available in RTC, if not available how can this be possible?

Thanks
Anbu

Can you clarify what you mean by the module level? You are setting delivery preconditions to streams owned by the project area. Those preconditions affect all streams owned by the project area.

You can accomplish what you want with team areas.  For example, if you have team area A which owns Stream A and team area B which owns Stream B, you can configure team area A to use a certain set of preconditions and team area B to use a different set of preconditions.

by doing this, will the all the components will have edit edit access to all the user of that project area? I want it such a way that the approval rights to be provided by certain people and all should have access to the component.
