Importing RFT scripts into RQM

Naresh Dasarapu (612) | asked Aug 07 '14, 7:52 a.m.

Hi,

When we import RFT scripts into RQM (Construction --> Import Test Scripts), will the physical script be imported or will it be a reference only?

That is once the import is done, if we delete the RFT script, will the script still be present in RQM?

 Naresh,
For RFT (and RPT as well), the physical Test Script is "not" import; an xml file consisting of metadata (The location of the script, how it was imported (local or shared resource) is created and represents the script within RQM

Thank you Ara.

Is there any way to upload the physical RFT script into RQM, not the path of the script.

Naresh,

No, the current architecture is that  the scripts (RFT) will reside in the folder from which you initially uploaded from (Local or shared). The file in RQM will contain metadata about the scripts so it knows how to execute script properly
