Best way to copyCC/CQ/ReqPro content to new disconnected Jazz RTC platform

Alan Mayer (611) | asked Aug 05 '14, 10:45 p.m.

We are copying system with over 2000 requirements in ReqPro, over 100,000 objects in ClearCase views, and a significant number of defects, change records, support tickets, etc.

This transfer is happening from one client to another.  It is not an option to have a network connection from our RTC servers to ReqPro/CC/CQ.  So, we will have to export data from ReqPro/CC/CQ and load into RTC.

I see several options for loading artifacts if a connection to the ReqPro/CC/CQ servers is available.

What are the options without that?  Can we keep source code history, requirements, traceability, etc if we don't have a network connection to source servers?

We are trying to decide if it is worth it to setup a temporary ReqPro/CC/CQ server at new site, load data from a backup, then transfer assets to RTC with a connection.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi Alan,  I'm not sure about CC or CQ.  But for ReqPro requirements, do you plan to have Requirements Management server in your CLM environment?  If so you can take a RequisitePro baseline and import it into RM which creates a project from the ReqPro baseline data.
