Is there an enhancement to just have RQM stay up period? I don't understand why in this series of tools users would have to do this. It's not that RQM does not stay up - my experience is that RQM server is extremely stable. However, in the current release you need to restart the RQM server in order for changes to integration_config.xml to take effect (defining integrations with other tools like TPM, Buildforge, TADDM). My understanding is that in RQM v2, the restart will not be required. Actually, my request is just as stated. It is stable on the version I am on...1.0.1, but there should not be a need for a white paper for keeping the product up and running. The "commercial" product should be doing this by default. Also the fact that IBM support went through the steps with my co-worker in running RQM as a service...and twice...it has had to be restarted even after no customizations were done...it just hung. |
The tech note for running jazz as a service still doesn't describe the extra java option for RQM: http://jazz.net/library/technote/72
