Jazz Windows Active Directory Authentication

Serdar Fener (1866) | asked Jun 17 '14, 2:30 a.m.
Hi,

Our client wants to authenticate the Rational with Windows Active Directory. In addition to that they dont want to give username and password during login to system.

Is it possible to configurate Jazz(RQM-RTC) in order to get the login informations from windows system automatically?

Thanks.

Yes. We used MS AD in https://jazz.net/library/article/831 It needs to be configured like any other LDAP system. The workshop shows some mapping that worked for us.

Thank you for the quick answer,

I have gone through the document and actually could not find the thing i actually looking for. what i am asking is,

1- integrate jazz with windows active directory
2- users will automatically login.(rational will not prompt to users a login page to get the login credentials. it will get the credentials automatically from windows system.)

Thanks

Hi,

no, currently there is no support for this (e.g. using Kerberos). All it does is to get the users imported into RTC/CLM and delegating the password check to the MS AD.
