RRC Link schema enforcement

Sean F (1.3k252162) | asked Jun 15 '14, 10:28 a.m.
Does RRC have any link schema enforcement?

i.e. link types can be defined but can the artifact types that can be linked together as target and source using each link type be defined/constrained?

 Hi Sean,

In RRC 4.0.1 we introduced a feature called Preferred Link Types, which allows a project admin to specify which link types should be available by default for a specific artifact type. As the name implies, this feature doesn't prevent users from linking with non-preferred link types, but rather the link dialog will initially populate with any preferred link types, and a user can then select "More" if the desired link type is not in the Preferred list.

You can manage Preferred Link Types through the Manage Project Properties page, and in the Artifact Type tab look for the box labeled "Preferred Link Types". For more information on this feature, you can find a snippet in the Artifact Types creation page in CLM help: Artifact Types: CLM 4.0.1 Help.

Hope this helps!
