our project creates and uses baselines, and we need guidance about how to maintain different versions of the same artefacts post a particular baseline.

We are using RRC at version 4.0.2

A project baseline captures an entire requirement project at a specific moment in time.
If you double click an artifact in a baseline, you can view the artifact history. When you open an artifact that has an embedded artifact from the same project, you will see the baseline versions of both artifacts.

In my understanding, the project baseline and artifact history are in different dimensions, and do not affect each other. There is nothing really to be maintained.
