RTC Requires users to log in way too often
One answer
Session timeout setting for Tomcat and WAS can be adjusted following the below technote:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21641143
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21447983
If you use WAS and the concern is idle time control, please refer to this:
http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/wasinfo/v7r0/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.websphere.nd.doc%2Finfo%2Fae%2Fae%2Fuprs_rsession_manager.html
By default, it is set as 30mins idle timeout. You can set "session timout" value to no timeout or specific interval.
WAS setting change requires service restart to make it effective.
Hopefully this helps.

Hi Don,
Thanks for the response, but the timeout we're experiencing is more like 5 - 10 minutes. It seems to be related to an interaction between multiple tabs being open simultaneously. I was advised that there's a setting within RTC that can be set to fix this behavior.
I am not aware of this settings. I checked with RTC advanced properties and could only find one place which is set as 10mins in:
Jazz Authentication Proxy Credentials verification expiration time
600
But the default setting never makes me any trouble in term of login. Have you got the info what setting in RTC can fix the issue? I am very interested in knowing this. Thanks
What are the tabs open to? Is it different ccm servers such as /ccm1 and /ccm2
Or maybe you have the different applications running under different WAS profiles?
