Renaming Custom Work Item Attributes in RTC 4.0.5

Ian Cuttriss (155) | asked Apr 08 '14, 6:51 a.m.
We have created a number of custom Work Item Attributes for our project. Following feedback we now wish to rename one of the attributes. This has been successfully completed. However, when attempting to:

Add the renamed attribute to the work item presentation or
Include the attribute in Query

the orignal name of the attribute is displayed. Through the Eclipse client I can added a label for the attribute to resolve the problem but I appear not to be able to resolve for the query.

Is there anything else that I need to do to rename an existing custom work item attribute?

no.

the only thing you could have done was to rename the old one with a  first char that would put it low on the list in query editor, then create a new attribute, and export/import the old data to the new field.

once an attribute is in the database you cannot delete it.
