Fail to log in RTC Eclipse

Meng Yun Chen (811) | asked Mar 08 '14, 12:13 p.m.
Hi,

Recently I can no more access to RTC Eclipse. When I tried to log in, I only get "An error has occurred. See the log file C:\User\IBM_Admin\workspace\.metadata\.log."

First I thought it was dues to my RTC version is old. However, after I upgraded it to v4.0.5 and also upgraded Java to v7.0 51, still same error occurred when I tried to log in RTC Eclipse.

Has anyone meet the same problem before? Could you please kindly advise how to fix it?
I've pasted the error log below. Please refer to it. Many thanks!

my suspect is some file in your workspace is gone corrupt - may be : workspace/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.resources/.root/*.tree (based on some generic Google search and some read through from Eclipse Community forums...)

one way out seems to be to rename your existing workspace and launch RTC Client which will result in creation of new workspace and then you could import contents form the older workspace into this...

have you tried using new instance of RTC Eclipse Client installation or new workspace or switching to any other workspace

Hi Kumar,

Thank you so much! I've tried your solution and it works!

I renamed my existing workspace and launch RTC Eclipse, it created the new workspace and now I can log in...
