To deployed Rational License Key Server with Jazz Team Server
My customer wants to purchase TOKEN licenses with CLM application. We plan to deploy RLK server and JTS server into same server (same LPAR).
- Is this supported configuration to deploy RLK server with JTS? Is there any consideration?
- How much additional resources, i.e, CPU ,memory and disk, is required? Is there any guidelines or reference information to estimate additional resources for RLK server with JTS Server?
I have already read following document and understand minimum system requirements.
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/prodguid/v1r0/clarity-reports/report/html/softwareReqsForProduct?deliverableId=1315932671452&osPlatform=AIX
- Minimum requirement 40G disk space
- Minimum requirement 4G RAM
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
This is very much supported and has been for some time. Initially this was documented in https://jazz.net/library/article/559. This document will walk you through with screen shots on how to configure the Jazz team server for token licensing Team Server configuration for Token( reference manual)
However, this is quite old and we now have all the information you require to set this up in the Information Center(s): http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v4r0m5/topic/com.ibm.jazz.repository.web.admin.doc/topics/c_managing_floating_dist_tokens.html
In terms of resources required, you're correct that http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/prodguid/v1r0/clarity-reports/report/html/softwareReqsForProduct?deliverableId=1315932671452&osPlatform=AIX is specifying 4GB RAM and 40GB disk space for the license key server. This is very cautious, as the footprint of the RLKS is relatively small.
You will of course require at least 8GB RAM for CLM however. The 4.x releases default to 4GB RAM just for the JVM.
The System requirements for CLM are available at:
