Need clarification about SourceID in CLM upgrade

We have upgraded CLM from 4.0.0.1 to 4.0.3, but we are confusing about SouceID.

Ex: If a Project area A in CLM 4.0.0.1 has 10 records and now we upgrade the instance from 4.0.0.1 to 4.0.3 the DWH also gets upgraded. Now if i  create work items in same project area(A) in upgraded (4.0.3) instance and run job, will the new records  loaded in "Request" table will have same SourceID or Different SourceID. We need a confirmation that whether SourceID remains same or what after the upgrade also.

Kindly any one can confirm me on this?

I am not sure what is ment by source ID.  But after upgrading, the Wi ID should remain the same, and the Wi representation in the DB should remain the same.  

If this does not help, please provide more details on what is ment by source id.
