Programmatic access to RTC repository

Hi:

I am new to jazz and RTC, hence please forgive my asking this basic question:

Can I programmatically access RTC repository data by embedding queries within code developed in the RTC client? If so, how? I would like to access detailed information on work items, including their attributes, discussion comments, change sets per work item, files added/modified/deleted, extent of addition/modification/deletion (from reading diff output), other data (such as users who worked on the work item, timestamps of work item access), etc.
