trouble configuring help content connection in eclipse client.

 Hi,

After updating the help content in the RTC Web environment, I was able to access the new help content from the web using the URL -
https://<server-name>:port/clmhelp/index.jsp

Then I configured eclipse to use this same path, but when I choose "test connection" - it fails.

I think the problem is related to the https connection..

I followed this guide

Thank you,
yael

Hi Yael,

do you have a proxy configuration on your eclipse? If yes it will choose this and maybe fail with this.
Otherwise I need more information, e.g. some screenshots.

Hope this helps,
Simon

Hi Yael,

After looking at the guide and then taking a second look at the problem as you describe it, it looks to me like you're trying to use the Web Client that you use to view the Help topics as the location of the Help topics themselves. The address: http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v4r0/index.jsp. Click Enable and Apply. You can then test the connection and make sure it works. Once this is done, click ok and close the windows you have open. From the Main toolbar, you can now go to Help (the one right next to Window) - > Content and view the Help material.

That's it. Let me know if you have any questions or problems. If this doesn't help, please post a screen shot of what you are doing and seeing. Thanks !
