Does DNG have "Link by Attribute" functionality

Manohar Rao (2211116) | asked Sep 23 '13, 4:20 p.m.
An existing DOORS customer asks whether DNG has functionality similar to "Link by Attribute".  They use this feature extensively to create large amounts of links.  Given the large numbers of requirements they work with, they feel that the linking user interface of DNG is less than ideal for them.

This functionality does not currently exist.  There is a plan item for this set for 4Q 2014.  I would suggest subscribing or commenting in the plan item if you have a strong need for this feature to be implemented in DNG.

It certainly does now, in v6.0.6, but beware the links are always created to the BASE artifact

Hi David,
that's not correct. If you provide the information in an attribute make sure you include the ModuleID and a dot separator and the link will be created to the artifact in the module.  e.g.:   12345.67890
