How to bring attention to untriaged, unassigned defects?

Daniel Cox (4261168) | asked Feb 04 '09, 10:33 a.m.
In the work items category there are currently 742 unassigned defects that are in the new state. Mine is one of the more recent ones of these - in the top 50 most recent. However the fact that there are many items still for 2007 and 2006 doesn't give me hope :).

I didn't assign a priority because I see that as an issue for the person doing the triage. Should I be impolite and set the priority to get visibility?

As you say, the priority is determined by the team (and is relative to the
planned work for a milestone).
But you can set the severity to a level that you feel reflects the
importance for you.
Adding a comment is another way to bring attention to work items.
