Reporting usage of project template

John Stonehocker (1176) | asked Sep 04 '13, 8:32 p.m.
Is there a way for an RRDI user to report the number of times a particular template has been used to create a project? Without resulting to naming conventions that end up being problematic.

Hello John,

looking at the Change and configuration management data dictionary
http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v4r0m3/topic/com.ibm.team.reports.doc/topics/ccm-roles.html
there is no reference to the template on which a project area is based.

As a long term solution you can open a Request for Enhancement on the IBM RFE Community
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/support/rational/rfe/
to request this information to be added to the RRDI data model.

An alternative could be to investigate if this information can be by obtained using Insight and customizing the ETL process and data model.

Best Regards
Francesco
