FYI: If you do install the Money that Matters sample and you want to know more about the project structure used in the sample, if you look in the folder JKE Banking (Requirements Management) > JKE Enterprise Project > 0. README there is a file called JKE Banking Requirements Plan that provides a complete summary.

Sean, please leverage some of our free on-demand training videos. Many are given by product experts with extensive field knowledge and are aimed at beginner and intermediate users.

The Rational Requirements Composer playlist is here: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLF8D56D9D47DB84F5

You did not say which version of the tool you are using. If it is v4.x, note that DOORS Next Gen videos also apply to you, as does any video labeled simply Requirements Management, or RM.

A search across the YouTube channel for RRC would be here: http://www.youtube.com/user/IBMRationalUE/search?query=requirements+composer

And my best recommendation for RM training is the two part Jon Walton series. Part 1 is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqAosdV7gRY. Please note that this video, like many others, contains a hyperlinked Table of Contents in the About section under the video that allows you to jump by topic.

I hope this helps.

Also, follow us on Twitter for real-time updates to training and the latest information: https://twitter.com/RationalRDM and https://twitter.com/RationalUT

Sean,

for self enablement I would recommend to start in the official docu and follow the links in the requirements introduction page. The Money that Matters tutorial will allow you to gain hands-on end user experience.
If you are looking for info around a requirements administrator role beyond what is in the documentation, you will find jazz.net library a valuable resource, e.g. article 1230.

For formal education please look at the Analyst training path and Essentials of RRC.

If this answers your question please mark it as accepted,

best,
Arne

If you have the time, maybe you could report back which resources you found helpful, or what critical information you found lacking or hard to find... we're always looking for ways to improve the learning process.

Will do thanks.  I have been in RTC and RAM for the last 7 months but we want to roll out the requirements piece as well.  I we are migrating from CaliberRM.  I always feel it is best to start with the very basics and build piece by piece.

 Hi Sean,

I recently collected a few Rational Requirements Composer (RRC) links and added them to my blog entry, I often get asked by the teams I work with, "Do you have some information to get started with RRC?" so here's a link, I hope you find it useful.

Please feel free to leave feedback.

Regards

Brad
