Hello,

I have mi test script, and I need to have during the execution time diferents values, I'm starting to use the variables inside the script, but when I insert a variable in a regular step, it looks like a button, but it doesnt request the value when I execute it.

When I create a set a variable step, it works, but How can I do the same, Request to the tester input variables during the test?

Thank you

Hi Rafael,

1) you'd need to "Create Set Execution Variable Step" as depicted in
http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/clmhelp/v4r0m3/index.jsp?re=1&topic=/com.ibm.rational.test.qm.doc/topics/t_using_exec_var.html&scope=null

2) A "2 screenshots-of-mine" summary...

Now, when executing a TCER (linked to the Test Case referring to previous Test script), you'd get the popping dialog to set/update the execution variable value:

Stéphane
