Agile Scrum- abscences in RTC

Hi,

I femiliare with the User profile where I can report abscence.

I am thinking of creating a task instead. For example:

Half a day course: Creating  a task and relate it to Absences category.

I am doing it because of the following reasons:

1.The rezolution of scheduled abscences is in days and not houres.

2. I find it more easy to manage abscene of user that is working in several projects.

My question:

Do you recomend it otherwise? Do you find it problematic? I guess this will effect the reports in some how..
