Hello,

I have noticed that you can assign a Category with an archived Team Area to a Work Item.

Now my question why can I assign the Category to a Work Item?

Because the Team Area is not in use anymore. So in my opinion a Category with an archived Team Area shouldn't be allowed to assign to a Work Item.

You should consider to archive the category. just because the team is archived does not make the category archived as well. If you think it should, please file an enhancement request.
