If I'm just looking to add a widget on my CCM 4.0.2 dashboard that shows some stats from a CQ server, do I need to do the full CQ synchronizer and bridge setup? Or is there a quick and dirty way to simply setup some relationship to allow the widget to pull the data it needs?

The CQ Synchronize and CQ Bridge are two different items - you would use one or the other but not both.

However, it doesn't look like you need to set up either, according to the InfoCenter. You just need to set up a friend relationship between CCM and the CQ server, and make sure you're logged into the CQ server when you want to perform the query.

Step 1 of the CQ Bridge setup explains how to create a friend relationship between CCM and CQ. If you just want to set up the query you probably don't need to perform all the steps for the CQ Bridge.

Thanks... is this supported for CQ 7.0?

No, unfortunately not. The CQ Bridge requires ClearQuest be at version 7.1.x
