Why are Incomplete Test Case Results deleted when the a TER's milestone is changed in RQM 3.0.1?

When a Test Case Execution Record's milestone is changed in RQM 3.0.1 associated Test Case Results that are incomplete (and some in-progress) appear to get deleted. Why does that happen?
