Using RTC client on Windows but developing on AIX - is there a CLI option to reset platform?

We don't have an AIX eclipse client so we are using a Windows RTC client to create workspaces on an AIX  share; development and builds are done on AIX.
Is there a way to over-ride the default behavior of loading workspaces
in a windows mode?  It is causing LFCR issues with some of the build scripts.
The build scripts specifications themselves may be tunable via File Properties,
and the Workspace setting of UNIX appears to handle new files fine,
but wondering whether there may be a more generic solution?

I see some early discussion around ClearCase integrations that recommend a
a TEXT_MODE=TRANSPARENT eclipse option; I wonder if there is something similiar to
force RTC to load the workspace itself as if it were on UNIX?
