Recently we have migrated from RQM v3.x to RQM v4.x .
Under RQM v4.x ....now we have all the migrated projects as well we have created a few new projects.

1) Under the migrated project, we notice that not all the default projects are appearing (specifically the LIVE reports)

2) Under the newly created projects, all the default reports are appearing including LIVE reports.
For Example : The "Execution report" under newly created project are 20 in count and under the migrated project there are 10 (No LIVE reports as such seen).

Interestingly, we notice the following changes as well.
1) Execution status by Machine using TCER count (LIVE)    (under RQM v4.x under newly created projects)

2) Execution status by Machine using TER count                  (under RQM v4.x under migrated projects)

When clicked on both these reports, we see same set of underlying parameters on each of them. Does this mean that the naming convention will change for the migrated / upgraded projects in RQM ?
The "LIVE" reports are not appearing and instead of TCER, we see TER for the report names.....

Any inputs please ....

In the migration, it will not change the default name of BIRT reports but the templates of BIRT reports. In 4.0, RQM added suffix '(Live)' into the default name to indicate it is a live report. But it will not affect existing report in migrated project, because we do not know whether user modified the report name or not.

The user has to manually rename the existing reports name in migrated project. Alternatively, he could regenerate a new report based on the latest report resource and set name.

Hi

Thanks very much for your inputs.
From your statement , it looks like the templates of BIRT reports gets changed accordingly when the projects are migrated from RQM v3.x to RQM 4.x ?
So does this mean that the migrated project still carries the old templates or will the migration process modify the old templates inline to the new templates existing under RQM v4.x ?
If not, can we import the new templates into this migrated projects such that the migrated reports gets updated accordingly ?

The existing report templates in the all migrated projects should be updated to the new ones when you are executing 'repotools-qm.bat/.sh -addTables' on upgrading to RQM 4.x.

The user could also go to 'Reports->Report Resources' on RQM web page, then select all report templates and click  'Restore Initial Contents' button on the right-top of the page. The behavior only affects one project that you logged on.

Howeve, for the new report templates added into RQM 4.x, they will not be added into migrated projects automatically. The user has to go to 'Reports->Report Resources' and click 'Deploy New Resources' button on the right-top bar. Then selecting project area to deploy the missing new report templates.

In the coming CLM 4.0.3 release, the user is able to deploy report templates for all projects at the same time. Before 4.0.3, the user has to deploy templates per project.
