Is Firefox version 20.0 compatible with both CLM 4.0.2 and 4.0.1?

Hi,

We are about to upgrade our CLM instances from Jazz 4.0.1 to Jazz 4.0.2 and I have two concerns about browser compatibility:

1) Can you please tell me if Firefox version 20.0 is compatible with 4.0.2?

2) Also, and given that I already have FF 20.0 and CLM 4.0.1, is Firefox version 20.0 compatible with CLM 4.0.1?

Additional information: I also have IE version 8.0.6001.18702CO and Windows XP Professional Version 5.1 SP 3 Build 2600 installed in my local machine.

Thanks!

FF 20 is not a supported and tested version for 401 or 402.

Mind you it may work, but it may have some issues.

Hi Maria,

For any compatibility concerns you can refer to the systems requirements

Also to avoid automatic firefox updates, you can go to Options-> Advance and then in the updates tab select never check for updates which will help in staying to a supported browser version.

Hi Indradru,

I had already gone to the systems requirements for references and since I couldn't find the information related to browsers clear enough, I posted this question...could you please clarify my doubt?

Thanks!

The Firefox version 20. is not supported. Basically, the system requirements tells what is supported and if the information of a particular thing is not there that means it is not supported.

I could add that Firefox has two channels. FF 20 seems to be similar to FF17.0.3 ESR.
That is, the ESR channel, the one recommmended by the whole IBM.
In summary: use ESR versions when possible in your organization.
