RQM menu does not appear in Excel 2010 after installation

Have machine with Windows XP and Microsoft Word/Excel 2010 32 bit.
Try to install Microsoft Excel RQM Import Utility: RQM-Extras-RQMExcelWordImporter-4.0.2RC1
after installation we cant see the RQM Add-in (the RQM menu) is not available in EXCEL.
Is there any way to make it running?

 Eirini,
Are you installing as Administrator (i.e. Right click -> Run As -> Following User Administrator)? If not, I would try that next (The user must have write permissions to registry in order for the install to successfully complete)

One thing to do is to verify that the add-in is not in a disabled mode.

In Excel 2010 you can enable a disabled add-in using the add-in options.

Click the File menu –> Options link –> Navigate to Add-Ins options.
Select Disabled Items in the Manage dropdown and click the Go button.
This would display the  Disabled Items window using which you can see and also re-enable the disabled add-in; if the importer is listed you can re-enable it (You can select the ones you wish to re-enable and click the Enable button)

Check the dependencies.

Did it a while ago, so I can't remember the details, but there were some MS dependencies. Without these, you will not get the menu item appearing.

RQM popup does not appear in Excel or Word when clicking on a menu entryAfter clicking on a menu entry it could that the popup does not appear. This is an issue with the locale settings on the machine. Locale should be 'United States' and formats 'English (United States)'

For Windows XP

Change the locale settings to 'United States' by changing the value under Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> Location to 'United States'. Additionally change the 'Standards and formats' to 'English (United States)'.

I think your problem is OS problem. The following software is required to be installed on the computer where the Excel / Word export utility is to be installed.
  • Microsoft .NET framework - v2.0 or later
  • Microsoft Excel 2003 or later
  • Microsoft Word 2003 or later
  • Microsoft Word/Excel 2010 64bit. (supported from Excel/Word Importer 4.0)
  • Requires write permissions to the log directory  C:\Documents and Settings\<USER>\Application Data\Mso2Rqm
  • Requires write permissions to the registry, and permissions to do HTTP request.
