query on custom field Large string type

1	Roger Layani (53●1●32●38) \| asked Apr 01 '13, 2:25 a.m. Hi I would like to query work items and add condition on custom field of type Large string But there is no possibility to ask "contains" for this field someone knows how to do this?

Hi Roger,
Are you not able to see the custom field to add it to your query or are you not able to query on it in the way you would like? If you can't see the field in the Add Conditions dialog in the Eclipse client, you can check the Show custom checkbox and your custom attributes will be displayed.

I was able to see the custom field in Eclipse interface ( why not in Web too??)
but there is no way to use it efficiently in the query
The field has only "exists" option and cannot be query-able
I this case I get same result with/without the field "exists" in condition.

the Large String/HTML types are not available for normal query operations (equals, contains). only for the full text search operations.

How the full text search operation can impact a query containing a Large string custom attribute ?? this field seems to be unusable in query.
and in this RTC lost all the field customization interest: you add a new custom field to be able to query on it in future!
