How to add an additional column in Mail Configuration?

I am working with customer who is using RTC 4.0.1. They have added a new contributor list field called "Referrer" to work items. Customer would like to add Referrer in Mail Configuration so that emails can be sent to those who have been selected as "Referrer" on various events.

To summarize, How can we add an additional column in Mail configuration? or achieve something like below

I have searched jazz.net and found https://jazz.net/forum/questions/50509/how-to-add-an-additional-column-to-the-mail-configuration which was composed back in 2011, however there were no answers

Was an Enhancement Request ever created for this, or has any progress been made on this front? I'm interested since this would provide a much greater control of email customizations from the UI

Hi DH Lee,
I don't think it is possible to in current version of RTC :( You can fill new enhancement on jazz.net for this if you want: https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational Team Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.newWorkItem&type=enhancement

Hello DH Lee,
What you want to do is described on jazz.net wiki: https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/EmailTemplates#Variable_Types

You can use ${workItem.get("my.custom.attribute.id")} to reference custom attributes.

Let me know if it helps for you.

Hello Krzysztof, Thank you for prompted answer. I also read the link which you provided, however my customer would like to achieve something like above to flexibly choose options for Mail configuration.
