Clarification on RTC and RTC for z Release Levels

I need some clarification around installing RTCz on the mainframe (not z/Linux).  We currently use RTC 3.x and 4.x in a Windows environment but have a client looking to install it on z/OS 1.11.  Let me state that I have no experience installing software on a mainframe so these questions may be remedial.  That being said, it appears that RTCz is at release 2.x and RTC is at release 4.x.  Do I need to install RTC 4.x or RTC for z 2.x or both?

Hi Sheri,

Please refer to RTCz… RTCz… Whatever happened to that product?

All of the mainframe capabilities were merged into RTC starting with version 3.0, and the separate RTCz product went away.
