Re importing documents to RRC

Shirley Jhirad (514251) | asked Feb 11 '13, 6:45 a.m.
Hi,
In some cases Documents can be imported as Modules to RRC - in ex. A Customer's req. document.
From that point a process for implementing this req. is started.
At some point a new and updated document is sent from the customer.
What is the best practice to handle this kind of cases- as there is no way to re import the document and update existing requirements without creating new ones.

Please advise on the best way to implement this cases.

Thanks
Shirley

Hi Shirley,

Which version of RRC are you using?  Also, what method of importing are you using?

Thanks,

Jason

RRC 4.0

Im focusing on the case that documentation is sent from a client in a word format. The first import is easy but what happens in a case of a newer version received?!

If the new data is in the form of a ReqIF file the new information will replace the old.  But when importing Word and CSV files, new artifacts are currently created.
