Rational Method Composer 7.2
Hello
The integration with Rational Method Composer 7.2 (https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-method-composer/integrations/) works fine on Windows.
But it is working in Linux as well? I was able to import the plugin to the RTC on Linux, however it throws missing licence problem.
I have got valid licence for RMC imported in the Installation Manager.
thanks for any suggestions

Hello Jan and all.
As this is an incubator we actually did not fully test it with other
platforms than our default dev environment which is Windows XP (sadly). I
can also only say that it will work on WinXP for RMC 7.2i3 and RTC 1.0 as
1.0.1 was not available yet when we released.
We can try it with RHEL 5 and see if we can fix broken things for the
upcoming refresh that supports RMC 7.5 and RTC 1.0.1.
Peter.

yeah I ment open (not import). I'm using RTC 1.0.1, RMC 7.2fix3,
OpenUP-1.0-20070801 and folowing
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/edu/dw-r-methods-team-concert.html
3.5. step install RMC-RTC - OK
3.7. check the licence - Fail
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com.ibm.LUMClient.LumCoreClient
(initialization failure)
open->method library - Fail
error while automatically activating bundle
com.ibm.rmc.library.distributed (740)
I'm working on Fedora 10 32bit.
I'll try RMC 7.5 as well and post the update.

How far do you get? Can you open the regular RMC 7.2 library? Can you
open (not import) OpenUP 1.0 (the current OpenUP version needs RMC
7.5, I think, so you can't open it with 7.2)?
What do you mean by "import"?
I would suggest you run the tutorial and see how far you get, and then
report back.

Ok, I checked it out. On the download side it clearly says Windows. So, we
only actually prepared a Windows distribution only.
Still, I was able to make it work by just copying one extra plugin from my
IMShared directory to the incubator directory:
com.ibm.cic.licensing.lum.linux_7.0.3.v20080228-HEAD
The other thing I had to make sure of on RHEL5 was to increase the number of
file handles as described in the Installation Guide.
However, there were issues generating the process template, which we have to
debug. So, for now, please use the incubator on Windows only.
Hope this helps,
Peter.

Hello.
The RTC 1.0.1 - RMC 7.5 plugin is now available from jazz.net.
Best regards,
Peter.
