error creating project

stefano ravegnani (2555) | asked Jan 21 '13, 8:35 a.m.
I'm trying to create a new project on the web platform but I have this error:

"An error occurred during project area creation. Please try again in a few minutes."

I've waited and tried again many times but nothing changed

Someone can help?

Thanks

what 'web platform'?  sandbox,  jazz.net, your own installation?

Hello Stefano

There could be high CPU usage on this server,  or a lot of threads which haven't been terminated yet.
If you donot have access to the server logs, you could try to use Firebug in Firefix browser -> Enable Firebug -> Enable the Net tab -> watch the XHR tab for the response when you try to create a newer Project Area. This could would record more details as what process is reporting this error.

If the error persists for long, please raise a Support ticket.

Glad this started working for you.

Just to clarify, were you trying to use the latest version of the eclipse client to create a newer project area, while you were connected to a lower version of the server?

We only have N-1 compatibility, i.e the Clients could be on a lower version but the server could be at a higher version, the opposite is not supported, but it does give you an error that there is a mismatch in the client and server version.
