RTC & RQM on the same server running under WebSphere

Craig Nodwell (823) | asked Dec 18 '12, 4:40 p.m.

This previous topic explains that if the two apps are running on the same server they must use different ports.

Is this still true in 3.0.1?

If yes, is there anything that needs to be done in WebSphere or is it all within the Admin of RQM?

If the two applications have the same context root they would need different ports.  That is having RTC, QM reach v3 after life as V2 both would likely have /jazz as context root, thereby requiring something to distinguish them.  If the WebSphere was installed as a v3 CLM set (CCM, QM, JTS, etc) all can run under a single application profile with different context roots (/ccm, /qm, /jts)

There are also statements in the upgrade documents saying that current URI must be maintained when moving from V2 to V3.  So the choice of different ports may have been already made for you....
