RRC 4 and IBM i

Len Stockdale (1412123) | asked Dec 14 '12, 7:09 a.m.
Hello.

Is there a plan/road map for implementing the full RRC on the IBM i.  Creating Business Process diagrams and Use Cases etc is not supported on the IBM i at the moment.

Thanks

Len

I think the fact is that the rendering (converter) component currently requires Windows or Linux. It is not available on IBM i or AIX. You can however deploy it separately on a box that runs on a supported configuration.

There are Enhancement requests for supporting AIX. I would suggest you request your support variant. You can also try to find if it is in one of the plans. I am not aware of details or plans around it.

The delegated converter solution can be used in the meanwhile when RM is installed on a platform which is not supported for the converter component.  See this link:  https://jazz.net/library/article/1089/#Delegated_Configuration
