Query an external database and display result on a dashboard

We store our test environment information in an oracle database (outside of RTC).  I would like to display a query result from a sql query to that database in a dashboard in RTC.  is this possible?

Is it possible for Oracle to treat the query as an RSS feed or return the content via a web page? If so, you might try the Feed widget or the External Content widget. OpenSocial gadgets can also be displayed on the dashboard (so it might be possible to find or build a widget to do this). As best I can tell, there isn't a built-in, generic database query widget.
