Execution and defects by owner widget does not populate defect info

We are using RQM 4.0.1 with defect housed on RTC v4.
we link up our failed TCERs to defects in RTC but when i run this widget the defect info is not shown. Looking at the TCERs in RQM I can see the defects associated to failed TCERs but not in the widget.
By the way the widget is in a Dashboard in RTC. All friendships etc are set up.

a little lost as to why this info is not showing.

Hi Paul,

Did you run the data collection jobs?

The Execution and Defects by Owner report is data warehouse based so the Data Collection jobs have to be run in order for the report to show information.

 Hi Mark

Thanks for such a quick response.
I do not have permission to run the data collection jobs but they are scheduled to run every 2 days automatically. I have since left the widget in the dashboard to see if it updates and the defect detail columns are still blank. I know the data collection has run because I have a trend graph and that has since been updated.
I'm just wondering if there is defect here?

Many thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,

When you said you "Link your failed TCERs to defects in RTC", how do you perform the linkage?
Are the TCERs that the defects are associated with also associated with the Test Plan you select in the Test Plan parameter in the report.
It's easy when generating TCERs to not select the Test Plan.  I do that a lot.
If you run the Defect Listing report, are defects listed there?

Hi Mark
In answer to your question yes we do link up to Test Plans.
I have looked into it a bit more and found if I select all defects and all test plans in the settings of the widgets defects do begin to appear. Unfortunately not the correct defects. I noticed that within the defects selection part of the query it only shows a handful of defects and none of them I'm interested in. We have relationships set up to the repo (CCM on jazz.net) and we can associate TCERs failures with defects from this repo but I'm confused as to why they do not appear in this widget. What is confusing me is that the defects that do show is from another repo that we have long not used.
Do you know how I can confirm or configure RQM so that the defects I want to see appear?

Thanks
Paul

Could you check in your query if it is showing the results from intended project area:
