Does Integration adapter for HP ALM provide data replication model?
Accepted answer
Are you talking about HP ALM v11 or HPQC v10? If it is HP QC v10, that is supported with the Tasktop edition of the Rational Lifecycle Integration Adapter. And, with this edition, there is data synchronization. For example, defects entered by QA in HP QC are instantly reproduced inside RTC where developers have full access to the defect information. Developers can then collaborate with QA, e.g. ask a clarifying question about the test environment, implement the fix, and notify QA of the defect status change – all without leaving the RTC environment.

Thank you for such a great input! We are looking at HP ALM 11. So if I may confirm with you, HP ALM 11 is not compatible with the tasktop. Corret me if I'm wrong.
For the tasktop, the same sync can be applied for RRC (requirement to link test requirements)?
Correct, HP ALM 11 is not compatible with the Tasktop edition, you must use the Standard Edition.
With Tasktop edition, there is sync with RRC and test artifacts in HP QC v10.
Now I'm much more clear of this. Really appreciate your comment here~! ;)
There are now newer versions of the IBM Rational Lifecycle Adaptors (both the standard and tasktop versions) - they support ALM11. The new versions support more products and new versions of the products they connect to.
And there is still the excellent work done by the CM_logic folks.
Finally - these integration problems go away if you used Rational Quality Manager instead. We (IBM) have some good migration services from Test Director, QC and ALM to RQM. These were originally built to migrate dev teams who became part of IBM through acquisition - but have now been used with customers.
