Defect Management with RQM only

Can someone point me to good information on setting up/customizing and using the defect tracking management from within RQM (and RRC) only.  NO RTC.

Post 3.0.1, work items are handled vi the same container as RTC. Are you asking how to set up connections to other defect tracking tools?

In version 2.x, RQM had it's own defect tracking and RM solution, but that is now gone.

Please point me to documentation on how to customize the defect workflow.
