Force LDAP sync

Is it possible to force the LDAP sync task? I know it runs daily (or more ofter if reconfigured). I would appreciate a possibility to force reloading the user database when for example email address is changed in LDAP. It would be even better if the sync task could be run just for specified records (the account that changed).

You can open the user editor in RTC and sync up the user record with the information present in LDAP directory.

Thanks for the hint. I've only tried to do so from the Web UI before. Now I tried RTC Eclipse client and I was successful to eg. reload email address (clicking the "Change" button and saving the entry).

I'd still appretiate an option to do this remotely (for example from a command line) to be able to tell RTC to reload the entry (entries) whenever it is changed in the LDAP.

Maybe a use case can describe the situation better: I have batch imported users to LDAP and then imported all of them from LDAP to RTC. Some of them may wish to change their email addresses (the one we have batch-imported for them may not suit them). They need to wait up to one day for the change made in LDAP to be reflected in RTC or open their profile in RTC and change the email address.

But the deal is not big at all in the end as we don't expect the users to change the email address very often (some may intend to do so once in the beging, but most will probably never touch it).

I filed your suggestion as an enhancement request:
Expose ability to manually request LDAP sync task (63464)

the problem is that when I just added a new user to the JazzUsers group in LDAP then I don't have a user record at all
(yet) - I would have to refresh the LDAP group.
