This will be addressed through Ability to remove a defect at the step level (28471) while you can still remove defects from the overall result after execution completion

Hi Ayan,
I don't know of a button you can click during the test execution to unlink a defect.  Once you've finished executing your test case and are viewing the test case results, you can click on the Defects section and remove the link to the defect.

I don't know of a way to link steps with defects after the execution has completed.  You can link defects to the execution result after the execution has completed.  During the execution, you do have the option of associating more than one defect with a step.
